The Sanskrit word“marma” actually means vulnerable point. Marma therapy harnesses the energies in the marma points for healing. Simply, Marma Therapy has an effect on the subtle energy of Marma points to relieve stiff muscles and boost blood circulation. The focus of marma point massage is primarily to manipulate subtle energy or prana, but physically they’re also very effective for relieving stiff muscles and boosting circulation. There are said to be 107 marma points on the body, each serving a particular purpose, and each with its own name and specific way of massaging it. Different oils are used depending upon each person’s Ayurvedic dosha type.
Marma therapy has an immediate healing and relaxing effect on the body when used as a treatment. Marma therapy involves subtle, and sometimes a more profound touch on marma points. The touch can bring about immense healing and rejuvenation. In marma point massage, these points are only used for healing purposes, pain management etc.

It goes beyond the physical exercises and connects the body with thought processes deeper consciousness. It seeks to build a lifestyle that values Health, calmness, harmony and positive thinking. It is probably one of the most effective therapies for many psycho-somatic disorders.

The word Yoga is derived from two roots. One signifying “connection” and the second signifying“concentration”. It connects physical health with mental equilibrium and emotional tranquility. It promotes concentration and focused attention.
Apart from enhancing physical and mental agility, yoga practice makes a person to adopt a balanced attitude towards life at all times. It is a matter of concern that the WHO had recently stated in its report that 61 percent of all deaths in India every year are because ofNon-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), which include cardiovascular diseases , cancer, diabetes and chronic respiratory diseases, among others. It is a holistic system where the mind, body and conciousness act in union and get completely rejuvenated as physical postures, breathing exercises and meditation help in overall well-being of an individual. Ayurveda narrated this phenomenon as ‘Prajnaparadha’ (intellectual blasphemy) which is one of the three basic causes of any disease. There are ample improper actions as an impact of Prajnaparadha which are root causes of various diseases, e.g., habit of suppression of any natural urge is a result of Prajnaparadha and enlisted as a cause of nearly 50% of the diseases. Reversal of any neurotransmission or improper removal of the waste products formed during metabolism leading to accumulation of toxins is the basic cause of a disease. Aakar Garbhasanskar and Parenting
“The Human soul has sojourned in lower and higher forms, migrating from one to another according to the samskaas or impressions, but it is only in the highest form as a human beingthat it attains to freedom.”

Aakar a Garbha samskara
Aakar a Garbha samskara /Preconceptional care is the care or advice given to a couple planning a pregnancy well before the time of actual conception. In Ayurveda, the journey of a child from mother's womb to the outer world is well explained as Garbha Sanskar. The Sanskrit word 'garbha' means foetus and'sanskar' means educating the mind.
What we are today is what we were in the womb! It is not only the genes which matter but the functionality of the genes (epigenetics)i.e. intra uterine foetal programming depends on the atmosphere in the womb. Hence effective Garbha Samskara is being provided to the couple who are planning for conscious pregnancy thus leading to effective parenting. It is believed that the baby's personality begins to take shape in the womb, and this can be influenced by the mother's state of mind during pregnancy. This knowledge can be traced back to ancient scriptures and is included in the Vedas.
According to Garbha sanskar, your baby is able to sense and respond to outside influences like music and other sounds as well as your thoughts and feelings. That is why well-meaning elders in the family, talk about the importance of staying positive and relaxed during pregnancy.
Presently when the pregnant women approaches the obstetricians for antenatal care, it is too late in terms of preconceptional care, as organogenesis would have been completed by that time. Several researchers have found that the first 280 days in the mother’s womb has the utmost bearing on the future mental and physical health of the individual. We pass more mile stones while in the womb than after being born.
Aakar offers scientific and research based prenatal trainnng including month wise ante-natal care, diet, regime plan, brain development and neuro programing science, yogasana, counseling, mantra chanting, meditation, womb talks according to month of pregnancy, etc. all as per Ayurveda.
